Instructions For The Reviewer

Reporting of Original Research Articles

The Journal β€œPakistan Journal of Health (PJOH)” requires authors to follow a pertinent guideline from the current existing guidelines on the reporting of various study types presented below

Peer-Reviewer Policy:

PJOH will follows a double-blind peer review system to uphold the quality of its publications. Manuscripts will undergo an initial evaluation by the editor, and if deficiencies are identified, authors are notified and given one week to address the issues. Once the manuscript meets the editorial standards, it is sent to an external peer reviewer for assessment. Reviewers are provided with a two-week timeline to complete their evaluation, and only one reviewer is assigned to a manuscript at a time. If revisions are recommended, the manuscript is returned to the author for corrections. In case of rejection, the manuscript is forwarded to another reviewer along with feedback from the initial review. The editor will make the final decision on whether to accept or reject the manuscript, and reviewers are notified of the outcome.

Guidelines for the Peer Reviewer:

PJOH editorial team will send manuscript review invitations to the reviewer via email/ journal platform. The reviewer should responsd to the invitation within 2 days to confirm or decline. If unable to complete the review within the two-week timeframe, decline promptly. Ensure no conflict of interest with the manuscript, authors, or subject matter before accepting.

Complete and submit the review through the journal platform within 14 days. Ensure the review is professional, confidential, and free of bias. Notify the editorial office immediately if unable to complete the review due to unforeseen circumstances.
